This tile is my favorite because of the fact that I love putting puzzles together. The main reason that some of the pieces were carved out was to make it look like I was still working on putting the puzzle together. The elements of design for this tile are line and texture. This tile has a line of some sort on each side, whether it be straight line or a curved line. This tile has texture visually and by the way it feels, you can see that the pieces that were carved out appear to have a rough texture and the feel of the pieces carved out is rough as well. The principles of design for this tile are unity and emphasis. The tile has unity because each piece works with another to create something, and that is known as harmony. The tile has emphasis because the lines in between each piece is the first thing I notice. It's emphasis also because the carved out pieces stand out more than the others.
